In this
article we will focus on education as it is today and self-imposed re-education
as an essential element of 21st Century success.
Additionally,
we will dare to make some predictions about this traditional institution and
why it is not serving our youth optimally.
It is my
humble belief that the SDI (Self Directed Income) industry is strategically
positioned to become a catalyst in revolutionizing a lot more than just sales
and marketing.
SDI
entrepreneurs tend to think and see the world like real entrepreneurs.
Employees don’t tend to see the world through the eyes of an entrepreneur.
An
individual’s entire attitude is molded by formal education and commonly
governed by a set of assumptions that form a securely embedded thought pattern
that the individual is not likely to even question.
Educators
are usually cared for (dependent upon) the School Board or institution of
higher learning that employs them. They are unlikely to innovate and create
their own security. They rely on the School Board to create and maintain their
security while the respective Teachers’ Federations police the activities of the
School Board.
Educators
by tradition, tend to be security-minded and are generally very skeptical of
opportunity-minded individuals – especially those in sales and marketing.
Educators
have acquired unique skills as they seek to improve their working conditions.
While they demand more pay and improved benefits, statistics suggest that they
are serving the taxpayer in a less efficient manner – for the unemployment rate
among our youth has never been higher and real entrepreneurs who need employees
maintain that the attitudes displayed by the youth in the western world are atrocious.
I knew an
entrepreneur in the traditional printing business who offered prospective
employees an opportunity to earn top dollar after the prospect had demonstrated
his/her willingness to work at minimum wage over a two week period. Most youth
passed up this unique opportunity for they believe that the world owes them top
dollar for little effort.
It is worth
noting that most prospects who demonstrated their worth for the printing
entrepreneur over the two week period quickly learned the essential skills of
the trade and eventually climbed the uncrowded ladder to success in an
independent printing business of his/her own.
The bottom
line is that most educators are employees only - although part-time
opportunities in the SDI industry are changing this bottom line.
Students
are dependent upon their teachers and teachers (professors also) impart a
dependent thinking for a long period of time – during those critical, formative
years. Most discussions, explanations, allegiances, feelings, beliefs, and
attitudes of educators tend to be tainted with the viewpoint of ‘dependent
thinking’ as experienced by the majority – the employees of the world.
Kent
Ponder, formerly a teacher, became a financially independent entrepreneur in
the 1980’s, when he doubled as an SDI entrepreneur. I read a book that Kent
Ponder published in the 1980’s titled: “Fire Your Boss.”
In that
book, he set aside a complete chapter (Chapter 2 – Breaking Free From
Dependency To Independency) to deal in depth with the issue that most
individuals have been programmed from birth in ways (some subtle, some not so
subtle) that effectively keeps 90% of the people in North America in financial
ruts for generation after generation.
Kent Ponder
had a Ph. D. in linguistics, psychology-related stuff and he explained how our
brains function and how our thinking gets tangled up. Our mission as active SDI
entrepreneurs is to untangle the misguided thinking and network with those who
are ‘ready and willing’ to be re-educated.
To untangle
the brains of our youth (and willing adults) we must re-educate them on the ‘truth’ about our,
orthodox, economic system of usury-based, debt money as well as countless other
relevant topics.
Since
formal education is not teaching our youth the ‘truth’ about the design flaw of
usury and how it is directly and/or indirectly the cause of wars, violence,
poverty, scarcity and lack, let’s encourage them (our youth) to follow their
own self-imposed course of online study by recommending (a) The UsuryFree Eye Opener(b) The SDI Eye Opener (c) The UsuryFree Network and (d) The UsuryFree SDI University.
During my
formative years, I received absolutely NO education about usuryfree economics,
nor free enterprise, nor nothing in the realm of conventional commerce and industry.
We, the
generation of the ‘baby boomers’ must take seriously, the responsibility to
re-educate our youth (and willing adults) on issues/topics that ‘they don’t
know they don’t know.”
When we are
successful on overcoming economic ignorance we will shift consciousness and
advance the mission of everyone on planet earth experiencing the reality of
usuryfree living.
There was
“Life Without Usury” in the past, and there will be “Life Without Usury” again
in the not-too-distant future.
As we
progress into this 21st Century, I expect the western world to
awaken and recognize that the economic malaise that has cut deep into society
is an indirect result of our failing institution of education.
It will
take some time for an ‘economic’ healing to manifest, but with the support of
the SDI industry as a catalyst the healing will likewise be deep and the
recovery will be more rapid.
Given a fair chance, entrepreneurism supported by
the SDI industry will prove itself a worthy alternative for individuals to
follow in their ongoing efforts to arrest their respective economic illnesses.
